CURRENT ISSUE

Greetings and Acknowledments
Dear Friends and Partners it is wonderful to be in touch with you all again at the beginning of another year's journey. We are grateful for the continuing partnership we have with you. Your unwavering support has enabled us to see some progress in our ministry. We thank you all for standing with us. We acknowledge those of you who have given financially this month to sustain us. We say thank you. We pay special tribute to our beloved friend and prayer partner, the late Isabel Marke from Tatura in Victoria who passed on to glory before Christmas. Our activities this month have begun with the Bimbadeen Christian Training and Conference Centre staff meeting followed by Amos speaking engagement with the Baptist Church at Cootamundra.
Staff Meeting at Bimbadeen CTCC
|
|
We spent two weeks at the Bimbadeen Christian Training and Conference Centre for Amos to do some work and prepare for the staff meeting. initially, his intention was to get the staff together to review the past performances and set workplans for the 2012 year. Although many issues where not covered it was a very fruitful and productive meeting. The staff members expressed their appreciation especially with a sense of direction that was now made clear for them to follow.
Amos expressed regret that the absence of staff meetings in the past denied them their input in the development of training program. This was one major contributing factor for the poor service delivery. |
Amos preaches at Cootamundra Baptist Church
|
Our time at Bimbadeen ended with a preaching engagement for Amos at the Baptist Church in Cootamundra on Sunday the 29th of January. This church had been and is still supportive of the Bimbadeen training program. However, at the moment the church is currently going through a diffcult time.
To encourage them, Amos briefly shared on the life and practice of the apostolic Church in Acts 2:42-47. He reflected on the basic essentials that made the early church grow. He drew contemporary applications and examples to the Peoples' Church at Walgett. |

Whilst Amos was busy with work at Bimbadeen, Doreen and Kenny also found something to do. Doreen assisted the staff at Bimbadeen with some cleaning while Kenny landed himself a job with a sheep farmer and his family. He went with the family to the sheep sale yard. Through him we came to meet the family. We were amazed at how much he learnt and were glad that he enjoyed the experience. We returned to Walgett on Tuesday the 31st of January 2012. Kenny starts school on Monday the 6th of February 2012.
Narelle on the other hand is well and is in good keeping by her grandmother (Amos' mother). We continue to support her every now and then. It is always good to speak to her on the phone and she seems to remember us. Please continue to pray for us as we finalise arrangements to join up with Narelle.
Peoples' Church at Walgett
|
The Peoples' Church at Walgett continues on in our absence. Thanks to the faithful members who have stood up to the task. It has been our desire to identify the gifts of the members so that they can be effectively utilised in the life of the church. One such step is in the development of those with potential preaching and teaching gifts. |
